More than just emergency services personnel, our Site Support Officers hold multiple industry qualifications and undergo a rigorous recruitment process and further training before being assessed against your specific requirements. As part of our exclusive Preferred Responder talent pool, Site Support Officers are handpicked and recommended based on your specific needs. Acceptance into the program requires successfully meeting strict assessment criteria addressing experience, qualifications, aptitude and attitude. Our team have been screened for workplace suitability and share our safety and care philosophy. Successful Preferred Responders will be shortlisted to match your requirements before the mobilisation process begins.

Our Site Support Officers are trained to minimise the risk of incidents but can handle any emergency relating to:

  • Fire
  • Rescue from high angle, height and confined space and vehicle extrication
  • Recovery
  • Hazardous material
  • Medical
  • Asset protection
  • Access control

Our Preferred Responders have experiences from a cross-section of industries including natural resources (exploration, construction and production), civil construction, aviation, manufacturing, maritime and government. They share our safety and care philosophy, and hold combinations of the following industry qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Public Safety – Fire Fighting & Emergency Operations
  • Certificate II in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue
  • Certificate IV Emergency Medical Technician
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Construction White Card
  • Current drug and alcohol testing competency
  • Unrestricted manual class motor drivers licence
  • Current national police clearance

In accordance with industry best practice and within company guidelines, Site Support Officers provide a range of proactive and reactive support services. In addition to standard prevention, response and investigation duties they can also assist with:

  • Hazardous atmosphere testing
  • Emergency response training and planning
  • Pre-hospital care
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Preparing reports and evaluations for all activities related to emergency response and rescue
  • Developing emergency management plans for the site
